Greece and Cyprus are strengthening their collaboration in digital transformation with the launch of the ‘Digital Citizen’ app, now available on Google Play and Apple Store. This digital wallet mirrors Greece’s ‘Gov.gr Wallet’ and will allow mutual recognition of digital documents by early 2025, easing identification and transactions for citizens. The initiative, which supports the creation of digital copies of official documents, follows a memorandum of cooperation signed by Greek Digital Governance Minister Dimitris Papastergiou and Cypriot Deputy Minister Nicolas Damians.
