Greece Announces Additional Social Benefits and Housing Program Expansion
Greece’s General Secretary for Social and Housing Policy, Konstantinos Glyoumis Atsalakis, announced additional social benefits set to be distributed on December 20. The measures include extra payments for families receiving child allowances and an increase in guaranteed minimum income. A new housing program, ‘Home 2,’ expanding eligibility age limits and financial criteria, is also expected to launch in January, targeting 20,000 beneficiaries with a budget of 2 billion euros. These efforts aim to support low-income households more effectively.
