The Greek Ministry of Environment and Energy has announced emergency subsidies for electricity bills for December 2024. Households with monthly consumption up to 500 kWh will receive a support of €15/MWh, benefiting approximately 90% of households. Those enrolled in the Social Residential Tariff will receive a higher subsidy of €35/MWh. The total cost of these subsidies is estimated at €20.5 million, covered by the Energy Transition Fund. Overall, electricity prices for consumers in 2024 are lower than in 2023.
