Greece Approves Fraport-Delta-Pileas Consortium for Kalamata Airport

Greece’s Minister of National Economy and Finance, Kostis Hatzidakis, announced the acceptance of the Fraport-Delta-Pileas consortium’s bid for Kalamata Airport, promising significant revenue for the Greek state and investments in infrastructure improvements. The deal is projected to generate €71.2 million, with €45 million as an upfront fee. Hatzidakis highlighted the successful transformation of regional airports and new investments that would enhance tourism and regional development in the Peloponnese.
