At the 8th Ministerial Conference of the Forum of Ancient Civilizations held in Yerevan, Armenia, Greek Minister of Culture Lina Mendoni attended and announced Greece’s unanimous election as the President of the Forum for 2025. Greece aims to enhance the Forum’s visibility, combat illegal trafficking of cultural artifacts, and foster cultural cooperation among member states. The forum includes Greece, Italy, China, Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Peru, Bolivia, and Armenia, with Mexico as an observer. The conference addressed various cultural heritage issues and adopted the Yerevan Declaration.
