The Greek Minister of National Defense, Nikos Dendias, has announced an upgrade in language proficiency requirements for military personnel being stationed abroad. All members of the armed forces will now need to demonstrate a high level of English proficiency, while those assigned to embassies in France, Germany, Spain, and Italy will also require a strong understanding of the local language.
