Greece Enhances Weather Monitoring with Advanced Meteorological Stations

Greece is upgrading its weather monitoring capabilities with the installation of 103 advanced meteorological stations across the country. This network aims to provide real-time weather data, enabling citizens to access rainfall information via a mobile application. The initiative, led by Minister Vasilis Kikilias, will be supported by the National Meteorological Service and includes various data collection systems such as radar and satellite technologies. These efforts are part of a larger drive to enhance national climate crisis management and improve operational responses to severe weather events.
