Greece’s Justice Ministry reports successful implementation of a community service program for convicted individuals serving sentences of up to two years. Since May 1, 216 public entities, including municipalities and hospitals, have joined the initiative, offering 2,863 job placements. Justice Minister George Floridis emphasized the program aims to prevent crime and facilitate reintegration into society, highlighting its role as an alternative to imprisonment.
