Greece’s Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) has activated a new Taxpayer Registration System for the 2025 tax returns, requiring all public entities to register by January 15. Failure to do so will incur fines up to €2,500, increasing daily. Taxpayers are encouraged to submit their income data accurately, with new deadlines set for March 15 to July 15, 2025. Newly proposed incentives include discounts for early payment of taxes and specific rules for couples filing jointly or separately. Automatic pre-filling of returns will also apply to over 1.3 million taxpayers.
