Greece Introduces New Price Reduction Labels in Supermarkets

In approximately ten days, new labels indicating price-reduced consumer products will be visible in supermarkets across Greece. Apostolos Petalas, General Director of the Supermarket Association of Greece, noted that this initiative will span 4,200 stores and involves continuous updates of product codes. Initially, the list included 362 products with price cuts ranging from 5% to 24%. The Development Minister, Takis Theodorikakos, urged supermarkets to expand their efforts to include over 600 products and ensure effective labeling to aid consumers during rising cost challenges.
