Vassilis Kikilias, Greece’s Minister for Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, announced the rollout of the AIGIS program, aimed at enhancing the country’s crisis management and disaster response capabilities. The initiative will involve the procurement of modern equipment and vehicles for various security and emergency services, totaling over €1.25 billion by February 2025. Kikilias emphasized the importance of collaboration among security forces and highlighted the ongoing efforts to strengthen Greece’s internal and external security amid various challenges.
