Greece Launches ‘Home for All 2’ Initiative to Assist 20,000 Homebuyers

Beginning in January, Greece’s ‘Home for All 2’ program aims to support 20,000 citizens in purchasing homes with significantly reduced interest rates. Announced by Deputy Finance Minister Nikos Papathanasis, the initiative features loans up to €190,000 at a 50% discount on standard rates, targeting individuals under 50. The program expands eligibility criteria, allowing a broader income range and offering interest-free loans under the ‘Upgrade My Home’ scheme for energy improvements. Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis emphasizes this effort as a key component of the government’s strategy to address the ongoing housing crisis.
