Greece has initiated its first national strategic plan for the enhancement of sports, led by Deputy Minister of Sports Giannis Vroustis and supported by 100 prominent athletes, aiming to bolster sports education and values. The newly formed National Organizing Committee, named after the influential Dimitrios Vikelas, will focus on promoting sports history, environmental awareness, and gender equality in sports through various educational programs and the revival of historical athletic events.
