At the 44th World Travel Market in London, Greece was honored as the featured country, with the East Macedonia and Thrace Region actively promoting its tourism potential. The regional delegation held discussions with industry officials, including low-cost airlines, to expand routes to Kavala and Alexandroupolis airports. Plans for further promotional activities are also underway, targeting events such as ‘Philoxenia’ in Thessaloniki and fairs in Poland, Frankfurt, and Zappeion, aiming to enhance the region’s visibility in the tourism sector.
