Greece to Implement Laws Closing Alcohol Outlets Serving Minors

The Greek government plans to initiate legislation to permanently close establishments that serve alcohol to minors, as announced by Minister of State Akis Skertsos in a recent interview. The new measures, prompted by an incident where students were hospitalized after consuming large amounts of alcohol, are nearly finalized and will be presented for a parliamentary vote early next year. Skertsos also indicated the introduction of age verification checks for minors in these settings.
