Greece’s Defense Ministry Plans Thousands of New Housing Units by 2030

The Greek Deputy Minister of National Defense, Ioannis Kefalogiannis, announced plans to construct 4,000 to 4,500 housing units by 2030 to support military personnel relocating for service. Currently, 1,000 units are under construction, funded by a €100 million public investment program. The initiative aims to address housing needs in critical areas, expanding later into urban centers. Additionally, 15% of the housing will be available for public sector employees facing housing shortages.
