Greece’s Justice Minister George Floridis Addresses Retirement Age and AI in Judicial System
During the annual general assembly of the Association of Judges and Prosecutors, Justice Minister George Floridis stated that there is no proposal to increase the retirement age for judges. He assured that any discussions about constitutional changes would start in late 2025 and emphasized that artificial intelligence would not replace human judges. Additionally, reforms for alternative dispute resolution are expected in the spring, while concerns over the potential increase in judges’ retirement age were raised by Christophoros Sevastidis, president of the Association.
