Greek and Turkish Foreign Ministers Hold Second Meeting Amid Ongoing Tensions
Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis met with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan for the second time in less than a month during the NATO Foreign Ministers’ Summit in Brussels. The meeting lasted about 40 minutes and focused on bilateral issues and preparations for the Supreme Council meeting expected in February in Ankara. The ongoing tensions over various matters, including the Cyprus-Crete cable project supported by Europe, were noted, along with the unique collaborative candidacy for international organization posts involving Turkish diplomat F. Sinirioglou and legal expert Maya Telalian.
