Greek Minister of Education, Religion and Sports, Kyriakos Pierrakakis, began his two-day visit to Ioannina with a trip to the State Archives. At a gathering, he highlighted the university’s significant 60-year journey and announced plans to support public higher education in Greece. Pierrakakis is set to visit the Metropolitan Church of St. Athanasius, which recently suffered severe fire damage. He emphasized the ongoing digitization project of national archives, aimed at making them freely accessible to all Greeks, underscoring a commitment to educational advancements this academic year.
