The 65th Thessaloniki Film Festival showcased ERT’s significant role in supporting Greek cinema, earning accolades for multiple films. Notable winners included ‘Meat’ by Dimitris Nakos, which secured the ‘Crew United’ and critics’ association awards. ‘To a Land Unknown’ directed by Mahdi Fleifel received the Audience Award and Best Actor prize. Other films like ‘Riviera’ and ‘Killerwood’ were also recognized, further highlighting ERT’s commitment to nurturing local filmmakers. ERT remains the only state broadcaster in Greece actively investing in the production of cinematic works, ensuring continued support for the country’s creative talent.
