In a heartfelt ceremony at the 43rd Greek Football Awards, the Greek Players’ Association formally renamed the awards for Best Greek Male Player and Best Greek Female Player. The male award will now honor George Baldock, while the female award will commemorate Vasiliki Komnou, a 15-year-old athlete who tragically passed away five years ago. Both families expressed their gratitude, with Vasiliki’s mother emphasizing the importance of learning first aid. Sam Baldock, George’s brother, recalled fond memories and highlighted the significance of football in their lives.
