Greek Government Announces Reduction in Bank Fees to Relief Consumers
Greek lawyer Georgios Nikolaakopoulos praised government announcements for reducing bank fees, stating that these changes will ease consumers’ financial burdens. Starting January, payment limits via POS devices will increase, and ATM withdrawal charges will be lowered. Nikolaakopoulos emphasized the benefits for small businesses and called for further reductions in fees affecting borrowers, particularly in light of rising interest rates. He also highlighted the need for legislative measures to protect elderly individuals lacking access to digital services.
