Greek Government Proposes Measures to Combat Child Internet Addiction
Dimitris Vartzopoulos, Greece’s Deputy Minister of Health and Social Solidarity, discussed new government proposals aimed at reducing internet addiction among children, particularly those under 12. The measures include almost total restrictions on mobile phone usage for very young children, allowing only communication and location tracking features. The government is also planning educational initiatives to inform parents about addiction risks and to provide support for families suspecting their children of internet dependency.
