Greek Government’s Focus on Northern Greece: Initiatives and Improvements Announced
The Greek government, led by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, is intensifying its focus on Northern Greece, as highlighted by frequent ministerial visits to the region. Deputy Minister of Interior Costas Gioulekas announced plans for a development program starting January 15, aimed at enhancing local investment and addressing unemployment. A series of visits and informational workshops will take place over the next 2.5 months in collaboration with local chambers of commerce. Improvements to border stations are also planned to facilitate smoother traffic flows during the summer months.
