Greek Health Ministry Launches Helmet Safety Campaign for Motorcyclists
The Greek Ministry of Health has initiated a campaign promoting helmet use among motorcyclists, emphasizing the importance of safe driving. Minister Adonis Georgiadis presented a new public service announcement that highlights the dangers of riding without a helmet, stating that 80% of patients with traumatic brain injuries at the KAT hospital are unhelmeted riders. The campaign was prompted by the tragic death of a teenager in Crete and aims to raise awareness about helmet safety through cooperation with gas station owners.
