A man from Rethymno was arrested for drug-related offenses on New Year’s Eve after escaping a police check. Authorities found over 1.5 kilograms of cannabis and a mobile phone in his abandoned vehicle. He was later apprehended by local law enforcement. The investigation is ongoing by the Drug Enforcement Unit of the local police.
