Kostis Hatzidakis, Greece’s Minister of National Economy and Finance, has announced forthcoming initiatives for the banking system, emphasizing the need to consider the citizens’ and businesses’ requirements without jeopardizing the stability of Greek banks. Plans include the expansion of the IRIS system by 2025, alongside the implementation of new European regulations on transaction fees that will standardize costs for banks across Europe.
