Greek Minister of Labor Rejects PASOK’s Proposals on Minimum Wage Law
Greek Labor Minister Niki Kerameos has dismissed two amendments proposed by the PASOK party regarding the minimum wage legislation, labeling them as outdated and ineffective in supporting workers’ income. She criticized PASOK’s call for compulsory arbitration in labor disputes, highlighting its lack of compatibility with European agreements. While also answering accusations of anti-labor government policies, Kerameos pointed to significant achievements, including a 50% reduction in unemployment and the creation of 500,000 new jobs over the past five years.
