A Greek Navy S70B helicopter conducted a successful search and rescue operation in the sea area 12.5 nautical miles southwest of Gavdos on December 14. Responding to a request from the Unified Center for Search and Rescue, the helicopter rescued one individual who was later transported to the General Hospital of Chania, ‘Saint George.’
