Greek opposition parties have strongly criticized the government’s abstention from a UN General Assembly vote concerning humanitarian support for Gaza. The Communist Party of Greece and SYRIZA Political Secretary Socratis Famellos echoed similar sentiments, accusing the New Democracy government of siding with Israel over international humanitarian obligations.
