Greek Parliament Approves New Tax Legislation
The Greek Parliament has approved a new tax bill introduced by the government, with the ruling New Democracy party voting in favor while opposition parties such as PASOK, SYRIZA-PS, KKE, and NEA ARISTERA opposed it. The legislation proposes reductions in 12 taxes, financial support for pensioners, a clear timeline for tax submissions, and adjustments in short-term rental regulations. Deputy Minister of Economy Christos Dimas emphasized that the bill aims to enhance citizens’ disposable income and improve their quality of life.
