Michalis Ganas, a prominent Greek poet, has died at the age of 80. Born in 1944 in Chamantha, he spent his early years in Eastern Europe before studying law at the University of Athens. Ganas was a multifaceted cultural figure, working as a bookseller, radio producer, and lyricist, with his poetry set to music by notable composers like Mikis Theodorakis.
