Greek Prime Minister to Announce New Financial Measures Amid Public Outcry

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Finance, Omiros Tsapalos, emphasized that the upcoming announcements by the Prime Minister will address public dissatisfaction regarding bank fees and other financial burdens. These measures aim to provide quicker and more affordable loans to small and medium enterprises and incentivize banks to release approximately 22,000 properties they currently hold. Additionally, there is a consideration to increase the property tax on these bank-owned properties. Negotiations with banks are ongoing to reach a resolution by Sunday.
