The Greek theatre community is grieving the passing of renowned director Kostas N. Farmasonis, who died on January 4, 2025, at the age of 74. A student of Rontiris and a graduate of Vienna’s theatre school, Farmasonis was a prominent figure, having directed numerous classical and modern works in Greece and Austria. He served as the Artistic Director of the Agrinio Municipal Regional Theatre for 12 years and made significant contributions to contemporary children’s theatre. The funeral will take place on January 5 in his hometown, Kastri Kynourias.
