The Racing Electric Motostudent (REM) team from the International University of Greece has crafted the nation’s first electric motorcycle, participating in the prestigious Motostudent competition hosted by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM). The team, comprising passionate engineering students, secured 10th place in the finals and overall 12th among 44 participants. Their advanced prototype boasts a top speed of 168 km/h, unique materials like carbon fiber, and a battery capacity of 48,000 mAh. This pioneering effort highlights Greece’s commitment to innovation in motorsport.
