The Guardian Media Group has sold the historic newspaper The Observer to Tortoise Media. As part of the deal, the Scott Trust will take a minority stake in Tortoise and have representation on its board and editorial committee. Tortoise Media, founded by James Harding and Matthew Barzun in 2019, has raised £25 million to revitalize the publication.
