Hamas Approves Hostage List Amid Ongoing Negotiations with Israel

Hamas has accepted a list of 34 hostages proposed by Israel for a potential ceasefire agreement, according to a spokesperson from the organization. However, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office contends that Hamas has yet to provide a list of hostages. The negotiations, mediated by Qatar, Egypt, and the United States, have not succeeded in ending the conflict, which has seen Hamas capture 251 hostages, with 96 still in Gaza. The exchange is contingent upon Israel’s withdrawal from Gaza and a permanent ceasefire.
