Health Insurance Premiums to Rise by Up to 7.3% in France by 2025 Amidst Increasing Healthcare Costs
The Mutualité Française announced a rise in health insurance premiums of 5.3% for individuals and 7.3% for employees by 2025. This increase is attributed to the doubling of healthcare expenses over 20 years, driven by factors such as an aging population and chronic illnesses. The rise follows two consecutive years of increases, with a notable 8.1% hike in 2024. Séverine Salgado, director of the Mutualité Française, emphasized the need for collaboration with public authorities and health professionals to manage costs.
