Hezbollah fighters have withdrawn from the strategic city of Qusayr in southwestern Syria ahead of its potential capture by rebel forces. Reports indicate hundreds of Hezbollah militants left Qusayr in around 150 vehicles towards the Lebanese border, coinciding with an Israeli airstrike on a convoy. Hezbollah’s retreat follows ongoing assaults on its positions near Damascus and in Homs, as the group continues to face significant challenges from insurgents while playing a crucial role in supplying arms in the region.
