Highlights from the 65th Thessaloniki Film Festival: Awards and Notable Films
The 65th Thessaloniki Film Festival concluded with Skandar Kopt’s film ‘Καλές γιορτές’ winning the prestigious Golden Alexander award, accompanied by a €10,000 prize. The film explores complex interconnections among characters amidst cultural and generational divides. ‘Η Τζούλι μένει σιωπηλή’ was awarded the Silver Alexander, highlighting the struggles faced by a rising tennis star following a teammate’s tragic death. Other notable awards included Best Actor to Mahmoud Bakri and Best Actress to Joana Santos.
