Homeless Asylum Seekers Protest Outside Dáil Over Accommodation Cuts
More than 30 homeless international protection applicants protested outside the Dáil after being evicted from temporary accommodation in Citywest. The Department of Integration ended its cold weather response, leaving these men, some of whom had only recently been provided shelter, to face the streets once more. Advocacy from Labour leader Ivana Bacik highlights the urgent need for alternative accommodation solutions as record numbers of male asylum seekers remain without state support.
