The leader of the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) military wing announced plans to dismantle armed organizations, starting with HTS itself, to integrate them into the regular army. In an interview, Murhaf Abu Kasra, known as Abu Hassan al-Hamwi, stated that the new force aims to extend power into Kurdish regions and called for an end to Israeli incursions in Syria. He also urged Western nations to remove HTS and its leader, Abu Mohammed al-Jolani, from terrorism lists.
