Iconic Ruby Slippers from The Wizard of Oz to Be Displayed in London Before Auction

A rare pair of ruby slippers worn by Judy Garland in the 1939 classic film The Wizard of Oz will be displayed at Heritage Auctions in London from November 28, before being auctioned in Los Angeles on December 7. Thought to be one of only four surviving pairs, these red sequin shoes are estimated to fetch between £2.3 million and £3.8 million. The slippers were found in an MGM warehouse and were famously featured in key scenes of the film, including the iconic moment where Dorothy clicks her heels together to return home.
