Cultural Minister Lina Mendoni inaugurated the new hostel at the historic Monastery of Timios Prodromos in Serres, highlighting its significance as a Byzantine monument. The project, supported by over €12 million from the Greek state and an additional €1.5 million donation from benefactors Athanasios and Marina Martinos, represents a successful public-private collaboration for cultural heritage. The event was attended by various political figures and underscored the importance of the monastery as a center for community support in Northern Greece.
