Inauguration of the Exhibition ‘Return to Antikythera’ by Minister Lina Mendoni
Greek Minister of Culture, Lina Mendoni, inaugurated the exhibition ‘Return to Antikythera’, highlighting ancient treasures recovered from the famous shipwreck. The exhibition, hosted at the Historical Library of the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation, features marble and bronze statues, glass and metal vessels, and a unique Hercules head. Mendoni emphasized the historical significance of the findings, showcasing the cultural and economic connections of the ancient Mediterranean. The exhibition runs until January 2025 and aims to reveal further secrets of the Antikythera shipwreck, which continues to fascinate archaeologists worldwide.
