Increase in Respiratory Viruses Expected in Greece, Expert Warns
Stelios Loukidis, a professor of pulmonology, has warned that Greece may soon see a rise in respiratory viruses similar to trends observed in Western Europe. He emphasized the importance of protecting vulnerable populations, such as the elderly and those with chronic illnesses, and advised the use of masks in crowded situations. Loukidis also mentioned that it’s never too late to get vaccinated, although vaccines take time to take effect. The expert predicts a dangerous period for viruses lasting about a month and a half.
