Independent Public Revenue Authority Resumes Foreclosures in Greece

The Independent Public Revenue Authority (AADE) in Greece is ramping up its foreclosure efforts after the holiday break, starting electronic auctions on January 29 for 32 properties owned by taxpayers with significant debts. The auction will include various types of properties, with starting prices ranging from €1,500 to over €4.5 million. Over 2.2 million taxpayers are at risk of asset seizures due to unpaid debts, which could trigger compulsory auctions if no repayment arrangements are made.
