On December 31, representatives from the Greek Agricultural Insurance Organization (ELGA) will assess potential damage to olive trees in the municipal units of Pellanas, Faridos, and Theraspnos, following recent strong winds that reportedly caused the loss of olive fruit, particularly affecting the ‘Athinolia’ variety. The ELGA services were notified by Sparta’s Deputy Mayor, Efstratios Kokkoros, prompting communication with community leaders to begin initial damage assessments.
