The Black Theater of Patras is hosting an interactive exhibition titled ‘The Suitcases of Shadows Tell Stories’ to promote and preserve Shadow Theater, part of Greece’s Intangible Cultural Heritage. The exhibition features ten artistic installations centered around authentic suitcases of Patras’ shadow puppeteers. According to Kostas Makris, the exhibition’s curator, these puppeteers traveled across Greece with suitcases containing handmade puppets and stage elements. The exhibition will be open until January 5, 2025, at the ‘Tree of Elves’ in Polychoro 5EPSILON, under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture.
