Nicolas Bertrand from France Télévisions conducted a brief interview with Omar Diaby, known as Omar Omsen, a jihadist leading a brigade of French fighters in Syria. During the encounter, Omsen claimed his group was active at the frontlines during recent conflicts against the regime of Bashar al-Assad. Despite the growing concerns among French authorities regarding jihadists in Syria, Omsen stated that neither he nor his men wished to return to France. The visit, however, did not include any filming due to a prior financial agreement Omsen had with other media outlets.
